Yuni, I hate to tell you this, but if you were taking lessons in air guitar, I think you were getting ripped off.

At those prices, you'd be better of taking lessons from a real musician.

Of course, the YouTube generation is more comfortable learning from a computer than from another human.

Whatever. Hardly anyone under the age of 40 is even bothering to learn to play instruments anyhow.

Then you've got these teenage boys on Youtube trying to show off their guitar wizardry, but their playing is empty, souless.

You know what I saw that was cool? On Ray Wylie Hubbard's 60th Birthday, he played at the Cactus Cafe in Austin, and among other guests on stage, like Jerry Jeff Walker, he had his son. Lucas, come up and play guitar with him.

Now, Lucas is no guitar wizard, but the kid had soul.

How many 12 year olds (I'm guessing his age) get to play on stage with their dad before a live audience on their dad's 60th birthday?

It gives me some hope that musicianship will not die out entirely.
